Materials Management Manager In this role you will be responsible for the Purchasing/Materials Management, Housekeeping and Plant Operations Department where you will receive, store and issue materials, supplies and equipment used for patient care or other hospital departments. You will also take quarterly inventories, enter data into computer, and maintain stock records. Supervises the environmental services process in accordance with hospital policy/procedure, infection control guidelines and requirement of accreditation and regulatory agencies. Directs and coordinates activities of staff engaged in repair, maintenance of machines, tools, equipment and the maintenance of buildings and utility systems the hospital. Responsibilities:Maintain appropriate stock levels; establish reorder points for all supplies. Package and ship all parcels from the department; process appropriate forms. Type purchase orders, enter receiving reports/invoices, follow-up on open purchase orders and vendor discrepancies. Supervise processing of supplies (cleaning, packaging, sterilizing and storing) in accordance with established policies. Solicit bids, identify potential cost savings, and issue purchase orders. Maintain inventory control; ensure accuracy of data in purchasing computer system. Contact Biomed/Maintenance regarding equipment requiring an electrical safety check.
